Kevin Mitchell, Jacobs Beach: The Mob, the Garden, and the Golden Age of Boxing(London, 2009) A fantastic insight into arguably the most evocative era in the history of boxing. Welsh boxing gets to play a part, with an account of Tommy Farr‘s brave challenge for Joe Louis’s world heavyweight crown.
